Why Am I Running?

Public education is at a crucial moment. School trustees connect local families with school board leaders. Our board needs trustees who have strong leadership skills, make decisions based on facts, and are committed to accountability. 

Tackling the Challenges at TVDSB Head-On

Our board has dealt with major issues, and the province started supervising us in April 2025. Public concerns about senior administration spending and independent investigations highlighted a clear need for transparency, stronger financial oversight, and major reforms. 

TVDSB faces a significant budget gap due to years of provincial underfunding, rising costs, and growing student needs. Simply moving money around or blaming others won’t fix the broken classroom funding model.

As your trustee: My Priorities for Wards 2, 3, 4, 5, & 6‍

📊 Accountability & Financial Transparency

Our communities need a trustee dedicated to responsible financial management, especially following recent issues with the Thames Valley District School Board (TVDSB). With my expertise in data analysis, I will ensure that every dollar spent on education supports students and essential resources. 

🛠️ Skilled Trades, STEM & Career Pathways

I will support the growth of Specialist High Skills Majors (SHSM), apprenticeship programs, skilled trades, and STEM education. This will help students in our communities prepare for successful careers in trades, technology, engineering, healthcare, and other new industries. 

🚌 Student Transportation & Community Safety

Many students in Wards 2–6 walk, bike, or take school buses to get to school. These areas have busy roads and neighbourhoods. I will advocate for reliable bus services, improved transportation planning, and safer routes for walking and biking. Every student should travel to and from school safely. 

💚 Mental Health & Student Well-being

I am dedicated to enhancing access to mental health support in schools by providing resources such as social workers, counsellors, and community partnerships. Many students and families encounter social and economic challenges, so our schools must be safe and welcoming environments where every student can receive the help they need.

🏫Managing School Capacity

As our communities evolve, I will advocate for thorough reviews of school boundaries based on strategic planning and government funding. This will ensure that our schools have adequate space and resources for students.

Why Me for Wards 2-6?

I have lived in London for years, raised my family here, and I teach right next door at Western University. I understand that the families in these wards are looking for practical, common-sense leadership. My experience in institutional governance means I know how to navigate the board’s budget to find the resources our London schools have been lacking.

I’m running to be your Thames Valley District School Board Trustee because I believe every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and succeed in a safe and supportive school.

As your trustee, I will focus on five priorities:
